SHRI DEVENDRA KUMAR, IRTS
Chairman
Shri Devendra Kumar was born in the year 1966. He belongs to the Indian Railway Traffic Service (1989 batch) and is presently serving as Additional Member/Traffic, Railway Board.
Prior to joining as Additional Member/Traffic, he served as Principal Chief Operations Manager, Northern Railway, New Delhi from 21 August 2024 to 14 July 2025. Before that, he held the position of Principal Executive Director (Coaching), Railway Board.
He has worked in various capacities earlier, including Divisional Railway Manager, Vadodara, Western Railway; Executive Director (Projects & Governance), Railway Board; and Director (Punctuality), Railway Board. He has also held several posts in the South Central Railway Zone.
Shri Devendra Kumar has also held a key position in IRCTC on deputation.
He has varied experience as a policy maker and administrator in the areas of Railway Operations, Commercial operations, Free Trade Warehousing Zones, Suburban Mass Rapid Transport, Shipping and Ports, Commerce, and Export Promotion.
He is an MBA graduate and has undergone several academic and professional training programmes at institutions such as GFCL, IIPA, and NIFM.
